A PI's Take on Aruba, from on the Ground
http://arubanboycott.blogspot.com/2005/12/second-interview-with-pi-rich-strom.html
Michelle over at Michelle Says So! had a follow-up interview since all her detractors were questioning the authenticity of her first interview. Mr. Strom was on Aruba with Beth Twitty and his firsthand involvement, observations, and professional experience seems to agree with everything Beth Twitty and her supporters believe: Aruba has no interest in Natalee's disappearance other than protecting the Van Der Sloots. I can't help but wonder, Aruba...considering how much you'll lose from tourism, are the Van Der Sloots worth it?

Here's some names for anyone who would like to find out what really goes on in Aruba behind what the tourists ever see. Do a little Google search with these names coupled with 'Aruba', 'drugs', 'organized crime', and 'money laundering'
Croes
Gottenbos
Carrasquilla
Posner
Mansur
Arends
Arambatzis
Van Rijn
Notice two very conspicuous omissions from this list: the small-time bit players, the 'pimps' at street level who are not important but will crack if enough pressure were applied to them (don't count on Aruba to provide that pressure): Van Der Sloot and Kalpoe.
Oh but wait! Here's four more names that fell off the radar and should be pursued aggressively by any legitimate and honest investigators looking for professional misconduct:
Van Der Straaten
Jacobs
Janssen
Dompig
I wonder how many of these people on the ALE team are card-carrying members of the MEP? Marianne Croes-Fernandez claims the Minister of Justice has no authority over her investigators, but even if this is true there's always the party ties...
I hope Americans are all on notice that Aruba is not the safe paradise the locals depictit to be. On the surface it may look like sun, fun and friendlines; but when something goes awry, or a possible homicide occurs, clearly the locals in power circle the wagons and create a media image to detract from the ugly facts. Boycott!
